About Me
With Life Coach certification by Martha Beck and Healthy Life Mind-Body Coach certification by Abigail Steidley, I am able to provide the tools and space for clients to explore all areas of dissatisfaction: career, weight, chronic pain, and relationships.
In addition, with the specialized training by Dr. Michelle May, founder of Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Workshop and author of Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat (one of Time.com's 10 best diet books of the year), I have at my disposal a complete instinctive eating program.
On the other hand, I have been in the corporate world for the past 20 years. I know what it is like to have to answer to bosses, colleagues, and business clients individually and all at the same time. I have been part of the management team of my company, which saw its revenues quadrupled over a 10-year period. I get things done and the tension that comes from that pressure.
Last, but definitely not least, I am a wife and mother. I have been married for 16 years and have two sons, ages 12 and six. "Everyone pulling at me" is a phrase I understand, along with the complete lack of self-care that goes with it. My mother, who has a chronic, terminal illness, lives with us as well. It is not boring in the Armstrong household for sure.
When I started working with a life coach, I was miserable. I had no goals to speak of, except a vague goal of wanting to lose weight. I not only lost weight (40 pounds and counting) but I lost the lack of hope that I lived with on a daily basis.
