Prior to RetirementReady.net, Mary worked in the areas of environment, health, safety and sustainability for over 25 years designing, implementing, training and evaluating management programs (ISO14001 programs) for various industries. Her strengths are in the areas of leadership, legislative compliance, integrity and above-average listening skills, having foresight for the "greater picture" working with all levels of staff. She is a highly regarded professional in her field!

Mary has conducted years of extensive research in the areas of: change and transition, the stages of aging, the achievement of balance in life and the history of retirement. She has also conducted hundreds of interviews and focus groups with people considering retirement, people retired less than 5 years, and people retired over 5 years.

Due to an overwhelming response to her research in 2000, she has written "Strategies for Transitions to Retirement", a comprehensive study on retirement concerns of today. Copies have been sold throughout Canada, U.S., Europe and India.

Mary has also written "107 Tips for Retirement", and a "Retirement Transitions Workshop" and is currently writing "You Can Feel It In Their Voices: Inspirational Stories To Nurture The Soul".

She is well known for her retirement transition research and retirement coaching, helping individuals identify opportunities for enriching their lives.
