About Me

I like to take a positive approach to working with clients. I believe everyone has strengths - and even the smallest accomplishment should be acknowledged. After all its consistent small steps that get you up and going.
Im not about dwelling on the past - but more about looking to the future - taking what you have experienced in the past and creating a positive outcome from it in order for you to move forward to where you want to be.
I believe everyone deserves to be listened to given complete support.

I have worked for 15 years with people from all ages. I have been fortunate that they have shared so much with me, that has enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of so many situations - anger, abuse, depresssion, domestic violence, divorce, lacking confidence, rejection, guilt, abandonment... alcoholism, homelessness... you name it - Ive heard about it. My passions are schizophrenia and bi-polar - people living with these challenges are amazing.
Its not about a cure - its about working out how to live and work with where you are at. Create your own normal.
Counselling is not for everyone, usually because it takes time and people just want answers. Yet getting answers without working through it, doesnt work - you cant see the connections. I like to help you find the connections. Taking responsibility for your own actions and reactions is what I am about.
I have done workshops in Counselling and Coaching, but am not formally educated - but rather life educated. I too have experienced certain life changing situations - some not as devastating as others..yet we all need support as we work out how to accept what has occurred and create our new life.
