My ideal client is someone who wants to improve their life/relationships -- workplace, personal, or other -- and who wants to learn constructive, empowered ways to discuss and respond to conflict.
About Me
(A little) ABOUT ME:
I grew up in Georgia and attended UGA where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education in 1986. I earned my Master's Degree in Mediation from Champlain College in 2009. I am a wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Prior to relocating to Georgia, I worked in Community Corrections, specializing in the field of Restorative Justice, training people around the state of Vermont in restorative practices so that they are prepared to participate in a positive and constructive way in keeping their community safe and helping non-violent offenders to stay on the right side of the law. I now work as a consultant and look forward to working with you!
MY COACH APPROACH:
You are the author of your life. It may not always feel that way, and it may not have always been that way in the past, but today, in this moment and going forward, acknowledging that can be an empowering truth for you. We cannot control what others will say, think, or do, but we can control how we choose to respond to things others say/think/do. That is my conflict coaching philosophy in a nutshell - by changing your response to conflict, you can change your dynamic with others in a positive way. I am a professional mediator and conflict consultant with experience in both legal and interpersonal mediations as well as the field of Restorative Justice. My approach is to ask questions that will help you to discover the answers you already have inside you, and that will help you to reframe situations and relationships that have left you feeling boxed in and powerless. You have choices and options -- probably some that you may not have even considered. As your coach I will help you to uncover those options, and in doing that, help you to step into the light of your own truth, so that you can move forward feeling centered, at peace, and positive about the direction in which your life and relationships are heading. I look forward to working with you.
