Paul McIntosh
Health and Fitness Coach, Life Coach, Business Coach
I coach men and women who want to eat healthy, lose weight and keep it off for life. I help my clients deal with life or work-related issues which may challenge their weight management efforts.
About Me
I have over three decades of corporate and family life experience. My corporate experience was with a major national Canadian company, where I rose to the level of senior manager. My management style was very coach-like, heavily influenced by Tom Peters. I inspired and empowered my staff members to excellence with a minimum of command-and-control and a maximum of belief in self.
Towards the end of my corporate life, I decided to work on my physical self – or more specifically, my weight. So, over the course of a year, and after years of yo-yo dieting and weight gain, I lost over 50 pounds and have kept it off. I am now a volunteer YMCA spin class instructor, and have taken up downhill skiing.
I have turned my life and weight loss experience into a coaching practice, first obtaining life/corporate coach training at Toronto’s Adler International Learning. I specialize in weight management coaching. I am able to draw on my broad experience base in corporate and family life in helping my clients deal with the challenges to weight loss which come from issues outside of diet and exercise. My clients really value the contribution of all my successes and many experiences with “speed bumps” to helping them on their journey. My coaching practice is highly individualized, and is based on the latest nutrition and coaching behaviour science. Over the course of our time together, my clients develop a whole new relationship with food, one that they “own” and can sustain for life. Because it comes from inside, it is easy and natural.
