Someone who is looking to reinvent their personal wellness to live the life they deserve to lead through optimal wellness.
About Me
I practice a holistic approach to nutrition, which means I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationships cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect the whole.
No one program works for everyone
The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has his or her own nutritional needs. So, when the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it’s too much of a generalization. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets don’t work in the long run. I look at your age, health, activity level, blood type, metabolic rate and personal preferences to determine your nutrition needs.
Everything is food
Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.
I am committed to assisting my clients restore their wellness and health through proper nutrition customized for the individual. Through my own health challenges, I took an active role in healing myself through proper nutrition, conscious eating, supplementation and alternative health therapies including meditation, chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy and Reiki. I can show you how to do the same!

Throughout most of my adult life I have experienced some abdominal discomfort. My symptoms were typical gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms most women experience, with periods of bloating, constipation, loose stools etc. I always associated it with something I ate that “did not agree with me.” Then after a traumatic event in my life, nothing seemed to “agree with me.” My physician diagnosed me with food allergies (gluten, wheat, dairy, casein, egg whites etc).
After my diagnosis I felt overwhelmed, confused, angry, sad, but most of all, lost. My physician offered no guidance on how to manage my new drastically life-changing diagnosis. I did not know what to eat. I needed someone to educate me about my new diet and offer me support along the way; therefore, I sought out the help of a Registered Dietician (RD). She helped me some, but was still not what I was looking for or needed at the time. I continued having frequent episodes of what I called “hard belly syndrome.” Hard belly syndrome meant I was extremely bloated, my belly was incredibly hard (abdominal distention) and I looked about six months pregnant. Then I would be in a mental fog and have constipation or diarrhea. I never knew when this might happen, but when it did I was miserable. My diet did not work for me and I was in denial.
Then one day while running, I had a sharp pain in my stomach followed by blood in my stool. I went to the Emergency Room, had a colonoscopy and was told I was healthy. Healthy? I was so confused and frustrated. Once again, I had spent a lot of money on mainstream medicine with no answers and still felt miserable. Then I found Sarah Stout a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN).
I needed someone to teach me what was right for my body and help me decipher all the nutrition information I had read and listened to over the years. Sarah did all of that and taught me even more about what was right specifically for my body. We started making changes to my diet slowly so I never felt overwhelmed and progressed at my own pace. She provided me with wonderful, simple recipes specifically for my dietary needs. If I ever had a question, I could call or text her for answers. This was the kind of help I needed on a daily basis.
Working with Sarah was the best healthcare decision I have ever made. She seemed to always know what I needed at the right time. She understood my feelings and provided me with the support I needed and had been seeking for the past two years. Sarah taught me how to listen to my body and respond to it. Through her guidance, I was able to rebalance and heal my body.
Today, I feel better than I have in years! I eat healthy for my body. I enjoy foods I never knew existed. I have more energy and feel more vibrant. I know it will be an ongoing journey, as my life changes over time, but now I find comfort in knowing I have Sarah to call for support.

Thank you for the pleasant experience during the last six months we've been working together on nutrition education and counseling. I've learned to become more aware of the way I feel after eating certain foods and which foods provide energy instead of lethargy. It's fun to explore new ways to incorporate foods in their most natural state into our daily menu.

Sarah is very smart and so attentive to your need. I have attended 2 of her Raw Foods Classes, a Smoothie and Juicing Class and plan on getting into to other classes she offers as she is thorough with her demonstration and teaching, yet, makes it fun and entertaining and so helpful. She is a great teacher/hostess and always has tasty treats and samples to enjoy. She is helpful, supportive, she is just a winner at whatever she does and can be helpful to your needs. She knows what it takes to get healthy.
