About Me

I specialize in high technology business start ups. Since the early 80's, some have grown into billion dollar companies (Autodesk), others that that have stabilized into strong, leading and growing concerns (Calgary Scientific), and others that have failed (Audiobase). My areas of responsibility and accountability have been on the engineering, marketing and sales, and the executive management sides of the business. I specialize in accelerating time-to-profitability for intra- and entrepreneurial ventures through founder, executive and business coaching and mentoring.

I am no stranger to forging new initiatives under conditions of extreme uncertainty. Along with having been involved in 10 startups, I have led and participated in several big mountain climbing expeditions around the world and have pioneered several new routes. I have lived in 6 countries and conducted business in or travelled to over 20 others. I speak French, and am conversant in Spanish - a bit rusty in Nepali, Swiss German, Indonesian.

I am also no stranger to working in teams of all shapes and sizes. This started at a young age, being the 12th of 13 children. I sponsor/mentor three families and two foreign schools through a movement that I founded called Emissaries International (www.emissint.org).

The world I envision is a place where every human's path through life becomes more and more illuminated by the glow they discover in themselves, in others, and in our natural environment - not darkened by their own limiting beliefs. This is a world where gratitude, service and whole earth sustainability are understood to be as critical to life as air, food and water.
