A happy and healthy school leader is a necessary requirement for a happy and healthy school.
Principal’s coaching seeks to provide school leaders with a regular opportunity to explore the issues faced by principals and their schools. It aims to create a safe and confidential space where they can:
– Reflect upon and enhance their leadership practice, their behaviors and beliefs.
– Share thoughts, worries and concerns about work or otherwise.
– Explore what they want out of life as a school leader to flourish as a leader.
Coaching support the psychological well-being and confidence of School leaders. Headship can be professionally isolating and so school leaders need opportunities where they can explore the challenges of the role (in complete confidentiality), be heard and identify solutions that can best support them in their role. Above all, a happy and healthy school leader is a necessary step for a happy and healthy school.
