{"id":1407,"date":"2011-02-04T10:36:34","date_gmt":"2011-02-04T18:36:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.noomii.com\/?p=1407"},"modified":"2013-06-05T16:47:53","modified_gmt":"2013-06-05T23:47:53","slug":"the-power-of-unconscious-minds-part-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.noomii.com\/blog\/?p=1407","title":{"rendered":"The Power of Our Unconscious Minds \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(<strong>Note<\/strong>:\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 for the purpose of this article, the terms \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00cb\u0153unconscious\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 and \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00cb\u0153subconscious\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 mind are interchangeable and refer to the parts of the mind that are not conscious.)<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever wondered why you\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2ve made a decision to start something new, followed all the instructions, done all the work, but still not accomplished your goals?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 This is because we are running programs in our subconscious minds that are holding us back and that we are not even aware of.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Wouldn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t it be wonderful if we could eliminate these blocks to our success?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 We CAN and I can show you how!<\/p>\n<p>I\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2m sure that most of you know something about icebergs.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 90% of icebergs are submerged beneath the surface with only a small percentage being visible.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 The same can be said of our subconscious minds.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Only 10% of our minds are conscious and this is the mind that we use on a daily basis.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 This mind is great for reminding us to do certain things, remembering facts, even for creating visualizations.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 As powerful as this brain is, the subconscious brain is far, far more powerful.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 As it rests beneath our consciousness, we are not aware of what is going on in our subconscious minds and yet it controls most of what we do and think.<\/p>\n<p>All of us have things that we do by habit.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 For instance, we get out of bed, brush our teeth, put on our clothes, and make our tea or coffee all out of habit.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 When something is a habit, our subconscious minds are directing us and we\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2re not really using much of our conscious minds. \u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Many of us even drive unconsciously.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2m sure that you\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2ve had the experience of driving from one place to another and not really remembering much of the trip at all.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 This is because our unconscious mind is directing us and keeping us safe.<\/p>\n<p>Most of us live a good part of our lives unconsciously, even when it comes to our bodies.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Here\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s a little experiment for you.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Whether you are sitting or standing while reading this article, stop now and become aware of your body.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Bring your awareness to your feet. \u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Are they planted on the ground?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Are you perhaps sitting on a stool with your feet on a rung?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Are you standing?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Are your legs crossed? Do you have even weight on both feet or more weight on one foot than the other?<\/p>\n<p>Tune in now to your breathing.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Are you breathing shallow breaths from the upper part of your chest or taking deep breaths, extending your diaphragm every time you breathe?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Most of the time, we breath unconsciously as our conscious mind is busy with other things.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Our unconscious mind takes care of this for us.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 It takes care of our heart beating, our internal organs, the blood flowing through our system of veins and arteries, the cells in our bodies, our immune system and so much more.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 We can\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t even imagine all of the things that our subconscious mind takes care of.<\/p>\n<p>The unconscious mind takes its direction from the conscious mind and does this in a very literal manner.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 The subconscious mind doesn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t differentiate between a negative and positive statement.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 For instance, if you say, \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009dI want to eliminate debt\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d, the subconscious mind hears \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00cb\u0153debt\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 and that is what it will focus on.<\/p>\n<p>Most of us pay very little attention to the words that we use in our daily communication both in our conversations with others and in our private conversations with ourselves.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 As the unconscious mind follows directions that the conscious mind gives it, we need to pay much closer attention to the words that we use.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Make a point of tuning in several times a day to really hear what you are saying.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Is the message positive or negative?\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Research indicates that we have far more negative than positive thoughts on average.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Luckily for us, the positive thoughts vibrate with a higher energy than the negative thoughts, and with some awareness, we can tip the scale in our favour by replacing some negative thoughts with positive thoughts.<\/p>\n<p>The subconscious mind also does not differentiate between real and imagined events.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 This is why visualizations and affirmations are so important in terms of accessing the power of the subconscious mind.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 The more you involve your senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste) the stronger the impression on our subconscious.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 So, when you are imagining your goals and achievements be as vivid as possible and incorporate as many sensations as you can.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clearing Emotional Blocks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If
