Struggling with personal or professional change?

There’s a way.

Hi, I’m Alex. When faced with an impossible situation (the story) I had no choice but to find a solution. I leaned on what I’d successfully done as an engineer (LinkedIn profile):  solve complex problems. I’ve combined this with the personal satisfaction I had leading and coaching development teams and packaged it for individuals. Motivated to grow and achieve or facing a challenge? Drop me a line, let’s talk.

I come from a problem solving background (engineering). In engineering you don’t get to be motivated for a few days and then keep doing what you were doing before. You don’t get to kinda sorta guess where an issue is and apply generic broad strokes approaches and hope they work. You drill down to the exact cause and you address it in a logical way that is guaranteed to work. This is how I approach everything. I’m hyper focused on identifying what *matters* and removing everything that doesn’t. A common failure we make is to overcomplicate things. Keep it simple.

So why are you coaching instead of engineering?

Two reasons. First, due to a health related ordeal spanning over a decade, I decided I wanted to help others. Second, when I was in charge of leading development teams, I found that a lot of my job satisfaction came from coaching my direct reports. I married those two with my ability to solve to complex problems and became a coach.

      How does this work?

I conduct 1 on 1 sessions with my clients. These are not group exercises – all my focus is on you. We’re going to discuss what you’re struggling with, get to the root reason(s) for it and define a clear strategy to move forward. I will hold you responsible for the promises you make to *yourself* and give you as little or as much help as you need on your journey.

Ok but is coaching really for me?

The evidence is overwhelming; coaching has a huge impact on confidence, relationships, personal growth and professional success. Just a few numbers: 99% of individuals and companies who hire a coach are “satisfied or very satisfied” and 96% say they would repeat the process (2009 ICF Global Coaching Study). 68% of individuals who hired coaches were able to make back their investment. Those who make a financial gain on their coaching can on average expect 3.44 times the amount spent (2009 ICF Global Coaching Study)

      What’s expected of me?

Be motivated and excited to be a better version of yourself. And most importantly, be ready to put in the work. Sorry but there’s no free lunch. You’re not doing this for me – you’re doing it for you. Do it and do it right.

      How much does it cost?

A 50 minute coaching session is $220. A 4 session bundle is $792 ($198 per session). A 10 session bundle is $1760 ($176 per session). Many employers will cover coaching costs for their employees – check with yours.

      When can I start?

My calendar fills up pretty quickly and generally you’re looking at 3-5 weeks until appointment availability. Complimentary consultations are flexible and I can usually do them within a few days of you contacting me.
