About Me

Every day I learn new things. I constantly have new challenges and try to work through them with humor, years of experience and good advice. Last year I started a peer mentoring program for women in my community. We now have 85 volunteers who have been matched with a mother who can now call for advice, friendship and support. I coach these mentors and we aim to create healthier and happier families. I also spend many hours speaking with my 11th and 12th grade students. We have a good relationship. I give parenting classes and I have lectured in the U.S. and overseas. I have lost 50 lbs since February 2011 and I am working hard to reach my 100lb goal.of course my priority is my family. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. I recently lost my father and I am spending more time with my mother. I have a young son with developmental delays and I am very involved with his therapy. I am busy but I enjoy life, I am a happy person, I have a wonderful relationship with my husband, children and friends and I love talking and interacting with other women and girls.
