Everything is cool. The job is great. Your love life is good. You feel great, thanks for asking. Or at least, that’s what you tell people when they ask. You tell everyone that everything is “fine”, and it is. But you don’t want “fine.”

I should know. That was me. My background is a bit unusual. The first part of my life, I was a Green Beret. Traveled the world, led men in combat. I grew a bit older and left that for a corporate/government job where I thought that contentment, fulfillment, and adventure was something in the past. That I had to give those feelings up for security. I was wrong. You can have both – adventure and success…

When we met, Mr. Martel had come prepared having taken generous time to review my information, he had edited and made annotations where necessary.
