About Me
My goal as a coach is to provide a structured, supportive environment that enables my clients to overcome the challenges they face and to achieve the success they desire. I believe that no matter what obstacles lie ahead of us, we hold within ourselves the power to choose our own path. Even when things feel hopeless, overwhelming, and out of our control.
If the challenges in life are lemons, I choose to take my brand of lemons and work at making lemonade rather than lamenting my lemon-filled life. I am not seeking to convince others that lemons aren't bitter or that lemons are better than oranges or apples. I am simply choosing to sort through what I have been given and use what I have available to me to make the best life I can. Like the paraplegic who chooses to find ways to fulfill his dreams regardless of how hard it is or how unaccommodating the world can be, I choose to take my lemons and work on making lemonade.
This is how I live my life and what I strive to help my clients achieve.
I am a firm believer that ADHD is less a disorder and more a difference. A difference in how our brains work, in how we process information and in how we interact with and experience the world. Because our world is geared toward non-ADHD brains, just getting through the day can sometimes be overwhelming, heart-wrenching and full of ADHD-specific challenges.
My coach training and ADHD specific coach training were both completed through ADDCA, the ADD Coach Academy.

I'm finding this to be one of the best things I've ever done. I have recommended this type of coaching to my family -- regardless of whether ADD-specific -- it's good to know that there really is a next step and there really is someone qualified and effective out there to help.
I feel better, like some of the weight and fear have been lifted. But I feel a sense of hope and freedom that wasn't there before. I have someone now that I can be honest with and not sugarcoat anything for fear of repercussion or put-downs or patronizing encouragement. It's amazing to have someone to talk shorthand with, without having to explain the whys... it's actually incredible to feel a sense of real support and recognition of what I live and face every day, despite particular stresses or situation.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you. Although money is a very real and serious issue right now given my current circumstances, this coaching is worth more than any amount of money. I still can't believe that I've found the help I need. I seriously wish someone had been able to help me find a coach like you much sooner.

I have really appreciated the insight you have given me so far into my ways, and how you have helped me realize how I need to practice organization and time management. I feel like we are starting to get into a good place with our coaching.
I am so glad I have taken the opportunity to try coaching and you have been a great help in guiding me through the process, I look forward to continuing our relationship for now and hopefully for awhile yet, as it feels like we made great headway.
