About Me
Do you ever feel like you can't control your anxiety? Do you worry you're always offending someone no matter what you do? Are you a people-pleaser? Do you find yourself saying yes to things you know are "NO"? Do you avoid conflicts at all costs or, instead, maybe find yourself flying into a rage and not even knowing why? Have you ever described yourself as "meh"? Like, nothing is wrong, but nothing feels quite right? Do you ever wonder if you're really inhabiting your life or just kinda drifting through it? Are you incredibly critical of yourself, like, always?
Listen, it might be trauma.
What if you don't feel like you have trauma? Everyone, and I mean
E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E has some trauma. Big-T (war, murder, etc) or teeny-tiny-t ("you're so dramatic and sensitive") trauma affects all of us in sometimes very subtle ways: confidence, people-pleasing, perfectionism, avoidance, reactivity, lack of boundaries, anxiety, etc.
First, I create a very safe space for you. And that's how we start. Then, we begin to identify patterns in your behavior, thinking, and reactions. I use all my tools to help you understand the how, why, and what of your patterns so that you can begin to change them in healthy ways. Next, we begin to explore new patterns so you can achieve your goals.
I am certified in Somatic Coaching for Trauma Resolution, I'm a PCC-Professionally Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, and I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioral Coaching. I also spent a couple of years doing Executive Coaching with some of the biggest names in the biz: Microsoft, Chobani, Meta, and Nike, among others.
What does this mean for you?
It means that I have a LOT of tools I can use to create a bespoke practice to help the one and only person that matters...YOU. My focus is on Trauma Resolution, it's the deep stuff. The stuff under the stuff. The stuff that seems to creep back in even after we've done the therapy, coaching, habit-building, etc.

Working with Sam has been an exceptional and impactful experience. I was considering a major life change and was unsure why I wanted change and how to go about it in a healthy way. Throughout our ~1 year together, Sam coached me to listen to myself, introspect in healthy and patient ways, and be kinder. I appreciated that she uses techniques from CBT and other scientifically-based frameworks, in conjunction with more spiritual practices. The combination is exactly what I needed with my pragmatic mind. What I have learned with Sam helped me approach my life change and more importantly, the perspectives and practices have stayed with me. She is truly an expert in her field and I am so grateful to have found her!

It's not an exaggeration to say that my experience with Sam Salenger has been nothing short of transformative. She has a gift for helping me see myself for who I truly am, and finding that whole perfectly imperfect person to be remarkable and worth loving. I can see so clearly the tools and resources I have inside my own self, and how to use them well to continue on my path towards being my BEST self. Life is filled with both joy and challenge, and those challenges can overwhelm our capacity to feel joy, more often than I even realized before I started this work. I can handle the hard times and not lose sight of the joy. Sam's collaborative approach consistently affirms my agency while offering unconditional support along the way. I feel grateful to have found her.

Sam is an exceptional coach. She helped give me the tools I needed at a pivotal time in my life during a major transition in my career. I was having trouble sleeping and having a hard time seeing my way through the situation. With Sam's compassion, humor, thoughtfulness, and advice, I was able to navigate that transition incredibly well and am now on the other side on a much more positive path. Sam is phenomenal at tapping into the truths that you know but haven't been able to verbalize yet – some of the visualization work that we did was incredibly impactful, and still sticks with me. I can't recommend Sam more highly as a person, coach, and for the outcomes she helped deliver – she's a gem!

Sam has changed my life. In the course of working with her over the last 2 years she has helped me shift my perspective, manage my thoughts and feelings and learn to take more productive and healthy actions in my life. There were three main things I wanted to focus on during my sessions: 1) Relationships 2) Confidence 3) Boundaries Since working with her I have built my confidence at work and got promoted -- I now speak up for what I want at work and have better focus on my goals. I've also refined the type of relationships I want in my life and how to better maintain them with boundaries. I have much more to share -- all to say she has changed my life and I have gained so much value and self worth from my work with Sam.

Sam is the perfect blend of tenderness & directness. Diving deep into trauma can be scary, but her knowledge and skill set to coach into calm is borderline magical. Clearing the path in order to see and providing the tools to help build a different paradigm for oneself are her gifts.

Sam has this intuition that helps her to find the story behind the story. She is able to get you to the answers that are buried inside of you - all the while holding space, compassion and patience as you work through the process. If you are fine with being just OK, great! Stay where you are. But if you are looking to level up and step more powerfully into who you are meant to be - get Sam on your team!
