"Hi! I'm Coach Stanlee... I am a Coach... not a shrink. I'm recognized as a wise woman and expert in the field of living life. My own life, my heart, my mind, training and education back up and organize that expertise. Single in mid-life, Stanlee' redesigned herself again with the completion of a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and honed her skills as a counselor, manager, and educator by embracing a career as a Marriage & Family Therapist (AKA: Psychotherapist). Her natural ability to relate to others and her experiential history quickly brought a full and successful practice. Over six years her style refined into coaching, and specialties in Couples Enrichment, Women's Life Transitions, and Recovery from Depression emerged from a base in Personal Growth and Development.
Stanlee's extensive background also includes certifications in Hypnosis and Liberation Breath Process*, she is an Ordained Minister of Universal Spirituality and has over 9 years experience as a psychotherapist in addition to over 20 years of health, career, business and personal coaching experience. Her work goes deep and forward, direct and broad. It is personal, fun, meaningful and goal oriented.

I had convinced myself that my life was ‘normal’ and I suppose the fact that I lived it everyday meant it was, but I wasn’t happy or emotionally healthy. I had experienced several years of CHILDHOOD TRAUMA, on a daily basis, and as a result my adult life was chaotic. I suffered with severe ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, and low self esteem – none of which I was aware of at the time. I battled my ingrained sense of embarrassment, shame, and denial and Stanlee led me through those early sessions, providing a safe environment, gaining my trust and working at a pace that was totally right for me. She had a great ability to balance her approach, appropriately pushing me when I needed to break through, nurturing and soothing me when I needed something softer.
Stanlee worked with me to identify those patterns and triggers, and together we devised a safety plan – that would keep me safe and prevent me from falling back into that downward spiral. Stanlee walked me through in order to gain a different perspective, and regain control over my life. I am able to look at my life from a totally different point of view. I am able to hold my head high and recognize my own value. I am proud of all that I have achieved as a result of my effort with Stanlee, and feel truly blessed to have worked with her. Man, I am positively proud of myself today. Another quick phone conversation with (the boy) and I was still my genuine me. Things flowed. Conversation was easy. I made jokes. He told me about his day, what positive things happened and then asked about mine :o) By the way, he knows that I have weekly sessions with you. It's nice that he feels comfortable enough with my "vibe" that he no longer minds asking me how my session went :o) I am happy IN AND WITH myself right now. I don't know where any of this (work, boy, etc) is going but I am happy with the path I am on right now. I know I have made certain choices that have led me to this path and I am opening my heart and arms out wide to receive whatever is to come. The real me was always here. Slowly but surely, I am getting to know her. And for the first time in my life, I am happy to let the important people in my life get a full glimpse of her too :o)
