About Me

I am dedicated to making your life and career successful. I know the personal and professional challenges you face as a manager or CEO or as an aspiring leader and will provide you with confidential, open and honest feedback to move you forward in your career.

My straight-forward approach is designed to help you know yourself and how your thoughts and actions impact other people personally and professionally. We will explore whether there are barriers that are holding you back and design strategies for you to overcome the barriers. You will be a happier, more productive person as a result.

I utilize various assessments to help you understand yourself more fully and will guide you in creating strategies and goals to help you achieve the results you desire. I believe each person has great inner wisdom that when accessed will provide rewards far greater than he/she have ever realized.

As a coach I maintain flexibility at all times to address client's ever-changing needs. It is you who sets our agenda for each session.

I have owned and operated a highly successful business for over 20 years and prior to that served in leadership positions for a large corporation. I have a thorough understanding of business, the challenges, and have taught business and management classes as adjunct faculty for twenty years.

I am an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and have over 400 hours of coach-specific training and 3000 hours of one-on-one coaching. I am also certified as an Energy Leadership Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC).

My B.A. degree is in Business Management from Ottawa University followed by a Master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. I have been trained as a professional mediator. My education continues each year with courses that enhance my coaching knowledge and skills. I hold memberships in many professional organizations.

I have enjoyed working with Stephen over the past several months. I appreciate the accomplishments he has helped me achieve. His coaching has helped me in the following areas: • Afforded me the opportunity to step back and find an objective view of my team. • Provided a way to practice difficult conversations ahead of time to help anticipate and appropriately address responses. • Helped me approach my director so as to demonstrate my ability to think strategically. • Focused my attention (and energy) on what I am capable of doing and what I can influence. I look forward to continuing our coach/client relationship and anticipate that others on my team will use his services.

"Since I've been with the organization (11 years), Stephen’s coaching has been the first 1-on-1 leadership coaching I have received. By focusing on me, my managerial tendencies, leadership capacities, ways to improve my weaknesses and capitalize on my strengths, this coaching has been exponentially more beneficial to me. Because the sessions are about me, my tendencies and approaches, my job and my circumstances at work, I am able to bring real-life examples into our coaching and consider equally real approaches to address such situations. Stephen’s coaching has allowed me to step back and see my own big picture. My professional attitude and appreciation for my organization is much improved as the result of coaching."

“Stephen’s coaching allowed me to see the world through different eyes and to be empathetic to those around me. Coaching has enabled me to perform at a higher level than I thought I could. Stephen taught me how to set up boundaries at work rather than feeling powerless. Coaching also helped me in my personal relationships with my children. As a mother of teenagers, I found myself using some of the coaching strategies right away. I use the coaching tools that Stephen guided me through everyday. The answers were always within me, I just didn’t know I had the answers! Stephen was able to help me see that I can set boundaries for myself and others. He didn’t ‘counsel’ me, he truly coached me, asking questions, letting me find the answers.”

“I have thought a great deal about our coaching efforts the past few months and briefly came out with these items that I have gained from them. 1) Learned to better leverage my skills and those of my team. 2) Learned to step back quickly from a situation and consider different interpretations to my message, to make sure my intent was received before responding to others' perspectives. 3) Made me a better listener by honing on specific methods and develop them into a skill. 4) Stepped back and started driving my business instead of having my business drive me. 5) Got back in touch with my goals and where I want to go. 6) Explored the challenges, my inner thoughts, feelings and interpretations in a trusting and non-threatening environment where a true assessment and diagnoses of complex business relationships where explored, evaluated and re-aligned. 7) Helped me re-align my career to these goals, thoughts, challenges and new perspectives and made clear decisions without misgivings, doubts or confusion. 8) My coach, with his feedback helped me see myself the way my colleagues, employees and clients see me, he objectively evaluated my situation looking from the outside in. Coaching helped me to regain my competitive advantage, get back on the road with a newly drawn and clear map headed to my true North.”

“I have worked with Stephen as a Coach through Employee Involvement Systems and he has made a profound difference in my personal and business world. He is an excellent listener and helped me realize how I was limiting my growth. If you are open to ideas that may change your thought processes, I cannot recommend Steve more highly.”
