What do you want to achieve in the next year by hiring a coach?
>>Speaking without undermining and apologizing [owning my voice]
>>Overcoming self doubt and being less hard on myself. I always think things I do aren't "good enough" but I don't know why
>> Leading with vision vs restraint (how to become comfortable letting go)
>>Learning to manage an all or nothing viewpoint on things (not steamrolling others and shutting off productive conversation/pushback). My "black or white" view of the world is emotionally exhausting, and it really impacts both my personal and professional life.
Tell us about yourself.
I am an ambitious young professional who works at a startup. I would like to get better at leading so that I can mature into a company-wide leader. I aspire to be a COO one day. I don't think I can do that with episodes of self-doubt, and a style of engaging this is very simplistic / "black and white" -- I think working on seeing the "gray" in life will also generally really benefit me. I recently got married, and one thing I'm noticing in my marriage is that I'm having trouble just being present and feeling ok not planning or being exceedingly assertive or attaching labels of "good" and "bad" to feelings, situations, and actions. I'm looking for emotional liberation, and want to not always be the one being passive or shooting down ideas in a way that others have described as "scary. " The last thing I'll say is that my enneagram is a 1, and I really think that best summarizes how I view the world.
