I started following Mrs Ada Usifo when she hosted on her weekly radio programme titled“ Consulting On Air” on 95.9 Cool Fm Port Harcourt. She extensively gave tips and nuggets on how to repackage your CV professionally for consideration in a job interview. She also shared tips on how to succeed at any job interview you face. Not to forget the career and entrepreneurial advice shared during her programme was outstanding. In 2011, I had the opportunity to attend a one-day live practical workshop on how to revamp a CV and tips to succeed at any job interview. After that workshop I went back home and applied all the new techniques I learnt on writing an attractive CV. A few days later, I went out and submitted my CV in various places; within a week I was invited for an interview. During the interview, I applied the principles Mrs Usifo taught, I did not only impress the interviewers’, but I also got the job and resumed work the following week. Ada's coaching style and guidance on career issues has made a tremendous impact on my life and career. The resultant effect is that, today I am a highly sort after inspirational speaker, speaking on numerous platform across Nigeria.

Unarguably, the richness in the content of the CV and career tips received from Mrs Usifo, during the numerous cv and career training programmes I attended, helped shape my thought process. They also compelled me to restructure my CV to be competitive that earned me interviews with fortune 500 companies and also a good job. I personally have lost count on how I have been able to pass the touch by helping friends and friends of friends with writing their CVs. I always refer them to Mrs Usifo by saying, you need to get in touch with my Mentor either via social media or listening to Consulting on Air, a radio programme on career and business tips she anchored in 2010 – 2013 on 95.9 Cool FM, Port Harcourt. To crown it up, the counsel received from Mrs Usifo, was one of the motivation behind a project I initiated, that is currently making it mark, this project is dubbed ENIPRO (Education, Nexus, Industry, Project). This project was selected as one of the top 50 projects by the British council in 2016, and one of the projects that would transform Africa in 2016 by the Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Ada did a great job giving me some career counseling and revamping my CV when I just returned home from the United Kingdom. Like most professionals, articulating my experience and skills can be very daunting. She took away this challenge from me by conducting a self-evaluation session with me and subsequently publishing the best CV I have ever seen. Needless to say, my next two job interviews went very smoothly. It goes to show that indeed your CV says a lot for you. I eventually got two job appointments, one as the Head of Commercial Law Practice at a reputable law firm in Lagos and the second as a Company Secretary at a reputable Trust and Investment Firm also in Lagos, Nigeria. I was spoilt for choice at a time when jobs were "scarce”, I will definitely recommend Mrs Usifo’s services any day.
