About Me

Hi, I’m Afito Chiu, Accountability Coach, speaker, and founder of The Balanced Professional Works.

I help women professionals, service-based business owners, and career re-builders who are ready to stop starting over and finally follow through. If you’ve been circling the same goals, sitting in “pause mode,” or silently navigating a season of change you’re not alone. I coach people who already know they’re capable, but need structure, clarity, and a little (or a lot) of consistent support to move forward.

My coaching isn’t about pushing harder it’s about creating momentum that sticks. I blend mindset, strategy, and structure in a way that feels doable, grounded, and customized to real life. Whether you’re rebuilding after a layoff, shifting careers, or juggling business with life’s responsibilities, I guide you back to steady progress without the overwhelm.

I use a holistic, 5-part framework rooted in self-leadership principles I’ve seen transform not just goals, but how my clients show up in their work and life. It’s not about doing more it’s about aligning with what matters, building trust in yourself again, and creating progress that feels like you.

With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education and client services, I’ve supported professionals through every kind of pivot. My own journey being laid off, starting my business, and navigating identity and leadership as a post-refugee daughter and working mother informs how I coach: with empathy, accountability, and structure that holds.
