About Me
I was sitting in an Atlanta afternoon rush hour and thought to myself “this is the most amazing feeling. WOW.”
I was contemplating the fact that I wasn’t upset at all. The parking lot known as I-285 was hot and probably for most, miserable. But I was happy and confident and life was amazing.
That thinking was the result of rebuilding my life from the ground up. Due to a health condition, I’d lost my marriage, my ability work (I’d spent a decade as a Software Engineer) and my physical freedom. I’d spent 5 years in a bed in a room in my parents’ house finding ways to stay sane and hopeful, diagnosing myself, developing a recovery program, rehabbing my body and finally re-entering society and building a new life.
I wanted everyone to feel what I felt – the intense and overwhelming feeling of achievement, confidence and joy. Even in a traffic jam.
Now, as a transitions and mindset coach I help others by teaching them the tools I used to simplify complex challenges and develop healthy mental frameworks so they can triumph over their own challenges.

I faced the daunting challenge of moving cross-country, a decision I initially resisted. Alex helped me understand the underlying reasons for this decision giving me a sense of direction, assessing pros and cons, and how the move would impact various aspects of my life. He helped me manage my fears and uncertainties whilst creating action plans. His support and encouragement helped build my confidence in my ultimate decision to start a new life. It’s still difficult as my life has changed substantially. But I have gained insights into my strengths and weaknesses and ultimately my decision with Alex’s help has contributed to personal growth and development.

I was writing a book and got stuck for quite sometime. Alex had me talk out my problem and told me that at one point I had started writing several stories at the same time, and my protagonist (and therefore me) was unable to move forward due to the multiple possible paths ahead. He guided me back to the core. He coached me how to rid the plot of the extraneous variables and return to the essentials. I’ve started writing again. I keep my long one sentence paragraph Alex helped me formulate next to my laptop and if I hit a snag, or get distracted, I go back to it. I haven’t experienced writing blocks since then.

I was struggling with my job. I was burned out and completely disinterested in the role I performed after 8yrs without the possibility for advancement. The job was getting more demanding while the pay stagnated. I needed to make a change but was struggling to make the decision. I wanted to go on my own and start a business. Alex gave me a step by step approach and structured my decision making in ways that made sense. He pushed me when I was stuck and afraid. His system worked when I followed through with his approach. I now own my own practice and am able to live anywhere in the world. I’m currently living in Germany, loving my best life.

I was facing a challenge in my life where I was lacking direction and discipline. Alex gave me practical and useful advice which helped me and continues to help me through life’s hurdles. These are issues that I have battled my whole life and it seems like the answer to my problem has been in front of me the whole time but it took someone like Alex to present it to me in a way that was easy to understand. His genius is not just giving you great advice but also and most importantly listening, understanding your problem and presenting a solution in a way which is easy to follow and understand.

The main challenge I had was owning the fact that I have many ideas and many different directions I can go in but had a hard time choosing where to start first. I wasn’t trying to figure out what I wanted, but rather where to start. It was frustrating because I was going in many directions but I wasn’t seeing any true improvement in any of the areas I wanted to work on. Alex took an inventory of my ideas and personal life challenges that were occurring, and developed a priority order based on what we thought was most logical. He just listened, didn’t pry but rather took notice of the things I said and calculated which area or idea I had would have the most impact. Understanding where to go was the main challenge and having him provide some direction and feedback based on the direction we agreed I was going to head towards was relieving. The paradox of choice was definitely at play with me but thanks to Alex, focusing on a high-impact area and having him walk me through it during our sessions feels liberating!
