About Me

I believe in people. People and relationships underpin everything we do as leaders and managers. You can have a great product, a flawless process, or an impeccable plan, but if you don’t have the right people aligned behind you, you won’t end up where you need to go.

I bring 13 years of professional experience with a provincial Crown Corporation in beautiful Victoria, BC. I have held middle management and senior leadership positions in a highly technical field, with some cross-over into the world of technology. As a result, I am used to working with and leading diverse groups of people and use a coaching approach with my team members.

For the past couple of years, I have also offered coaching sessions to emerging leaders in my organization. Now I’m looking to make a broader impact, so I'm opening up my coaching to others.

My areas of expertise are in leading virtual/remote teams, building high-performing cross-functional teams, and leading transformational change projects. When you bring a lot of high-performers together, you can often get fireworks. If you don’t manage them properly, you can set the place on fire. But if you understand how to leverage each of their unique skills and build complementary relationships, wow, what a show!

If you’ve found yourself tasked with a challenging project or a challenging team, and need help to keep yourself afloat, then I’m your gal. Or, if you’d just like to improve your leadership skills and better connect with your team, I can help with that, too.

I hold an MBA from the University of Victoria, and a Graduate Certificate in Workplace Innovation from Royal Roads University. I also hold a PMP® designation from the Project Management Institute and an AACI, P. App from the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Additionally, I am currently enrolled in the Personal & Business Performance Coach Certification at Canada Coach Academy in pursuit of an ACC certification from the International Coaching Federation.
