About Me

Darius is a performance coach, team trainer, licensed psychotherapist and consultant based out of New York City. Darius received his graduate training from New York University and has practiced in private, organizational, and academic-based settings.

Darius’ adult clientele includes high-performing adults juggling multi-role priorities within high stakes environments including performing arts, cinematography, music and videography, entertainment, sporting/ athletics, academia, and corporate/ entrepreneurship spaces. Highlighting ‘role strain,’ the multiple roles we carry at times test our ability to perform at pivotal moments, often at the intersection of upward professional mobility, personal satisfaction, and family development/ maintenance that obstruct achieving our goals. Darius’ transparent and collaborative approach will help you problem-solve real and imagined obstacles, increase potentiality, activate role immersion, bolster assertive communication, improve coping skills and performance insights, and increase benchmark success outcomes.

Darius also provides performance coaching to teen athletes/ emerging adults (ages 13-18) within the performing athletic space experiencing sporting performance anxiety, self-doubting, perfectionism, and dual-identity conflict. These are students excelling in academia, preparing for a career in athletics, and/ or juggling social, cultural, and personal pressures to perform. Areas of expertise include concrete skills training, body-mind awareness, task management and multitasking, increased problem solving, assertiveness training and public speaking, frustration tolerance and anxiety management, conditioning and learning, and parental coaching. Darius has contracted with the NY State Dept of Education to provide internal supports to students and administrators.

I offer tiered 12-week packages for pairings, small groups, large groups, and 1-to-1 performance coaching.
