About Me

Hello, I'm Dawn Pinkney. I was a very successful leadership executive in the video games industry. A ‘woman in games’ for 25 years across the globe (UK, Canada and US). I led and inspired awesome development and publishing teams to deliver AAA franchises such as Skylanders, James Bond, LEGO, PGA Tour, WWE. I worked within small Silicon Valley startups to big companies such as Activision-Blizzard, 2K, Wargaming, and Capcom as an Executive Producer accountable for budgets of $100M+.

I was well traveled, I became a US Citizen after obtaining a green card, all through my hard-working career, I lived in high-end cities such as London, Vancouver BC, Santa Monica, San Francisco, and Napa, and I felt good about my family and friends.

When a personal life event happened I woke up! I realized despite being successful and doing well at life, I wasn’t fulfilled, I was living on autopilot, starting my day in reaction and continuing to react to what came up getting stressed and annoyed, I was judgmental and critical of myself and others making up stories in my head and building up mistrust, I wasn’t present in most of my conversations because I was constantly caught up in my head and projecting my agenda onto everything, I was holding lots of tension in my body that I was completely unaware of, I was wasting time not being intentional, I used unhealthy habits to relax, I wasn’t achieving my goals, I was too tired to work out most days. I was not my best self at all.

Through my personal development and coaching, I started to turn my life around. I became intentional and present with as many moments of the day as possible, present and supportive to those around me, curious instead of judgmental, and strategic with my time, I moved through life with ease and people around me aspired to be more like me and I attracted many more new friends to my life as well as good fortune.

I founded Marjorie Dawn Coaching to better support and inspire professionals to operate at their best.
