About Me

I’m De Shawn, and I’ve learned that looking successful on paper doesn’t always feel the way you think it will. I spent years in HR and Talent Acquisition climbing ladders, earning promotions, and collecting titles. From the outside, it seemed like I had it all figured out. But inside, I was second-guessing myself, lying awake replaying conversations, and wondering, “Is this really it?” That disconnect is what led me to coaching!

My approach is simple: get real, get clear, and take steps that actually fit you—not someone else’s definition of success. I don’t believe in quick fixes or scripted advice. Instead, I help people slow down enough to hear themselves, sort through the noise, and build the confidence to act on what they truly want. Clients often come to me when they feel stuck between who they’ve been and who they know they could be.

Our work together is a mix of honest conversation, thoughtful challenges, and practical strategies. I listen deeply, ask questions that uncover what’s really driving you, and keep you accountable without judgment. Coaching with me feels supportive but not soft—I’ll encourage you, but I’ll also push you when I see you holding back.

I bring more than a decade of professional experience in HR and leadership to this work, which means I understand the pressures of performance, visibility, and making high-stakes decisions. As a certified Life and Mindset Coach, I pair that background with training in proven coaching tools designed to create lasting growth.
