"But I do creative work," you may be thinking, "I never feel like standard career advice applies to me." I get it. That’s why I offer practical steps to lead you toward your most authentic work and help you overcome your biggest obstacles.
I’m dedicated to uncovering clients' unique, irreplaceable way of making – and being – with genuine feedback and a straightforward method for peeling back layers of unhelpful habits. After working with me, clients report meaningful progress, with the extra benefit of self-understanding.
Creativity is at my core, but I didn’t always see it as a gift. Having started violin at age 4, I later went to conservatory, earned a Master’s, and performed on 6 continents. I recorded solo albums and toured as a cultural ambassador. “You have such a cool life!” people told me. But inside, I felt lost – and outside, I was barely supporting myself. So I gave up and got a non-creative tech job... It seemed my path as an artist had reached a dead end.
And then.. through finding an inspired coach, and later training as a coach, I learned to listen for and trust my own inner voice – with pretty incredible results. In 2024, I won a $10K grant for a musical composition, and a podcast I scored was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. In 2025, an album I recorded was called a “masterpiece” in a respected magazine.
More importantly, I can finally experience a sense of accomplishment.

I found my coach, Dina Maccabbe, through Nooni and the experience was wonderful. Dinah took her time to really hear and understand my challenges. She very carefully helped me to navigate these challenges and tailored solutions that would help me throughout my life. I highly recommend!

From the first session with Dina, something about her unhurried presence signalled that this would be a different kind of coaching relationship. That kind of presence creates space for real work rather than performed introspection. What sets Dina apart is her attention to language. She has a gift for pausing on a word or phrase you've used almost unconsciously and holding it up to the light. She notices body language with the same precision. Nothing slips past her, and yet it never feels like scrutiny. She guided me through a period of identity integration during a time of professional refocus, reconciling who I am with how I show up in my personal brand. Dina helped me sit with discomfort long enough for something to shift and when it did, new possibilities emerged that hadn't been able to access before. She is also impossible to hide from. Whenever I found myself rationalising or deflecting, she met it with a gentleness that somehow made it even harder to get away with. That combination of warmth and rigour is rare.

I came to Dina with a challenge: "I don't know how to move forward if I'm not beating myself up for everything I'm doing wrong or not doing at all." Dina was up for that challenge and then some! She held space for me, really listened, and then gave me some gentle prompts, just some suggestions to think about. In less than 10 minutes, my initial resistance had melted; she helped me to realize that I could let go of the judgment, which allowed me to release some of the pressure I was feeling to 'fix this thing.' By the end of our session, *I* had found the thoughts and felt the feelings that absolutely released me from the self judgment I'd heaped on myself. Dina was a perfect guide; she knew intuitively exactly what would help me on my own journey. That, to me, is the sign of an excellent coach.

Since my background is in traditional and punk music, I had never done much arranging and didn't know much beyond counting to four and trying to start and stop together as a band. Working on this record with Dina has opened my mind to so many dynamic possibilities that I could hear when listening to other people's music, but struggled to implement in my own. Through her guidance over the course of working on my upcoming album, I have come away confident that I have a solid understanding of arrangement that I can share with others on upcoming projects as a producer and engineer.
