About Me

I'm Dr Clare Allen—an award-winning leadership coach, former CEO, and the creator of the Identity Anchoring methodology.
For over 30 years, I've led some of Australia's most complex organizations through transformation, growth, and crisis. I've been the CEO navigating major floods, managing multi-million dollar infrastructure projects, scaling nonprofits from 2,000 to 12,000 clients, and tripling revenue while building high-performing teams.
But here's what I learned along the way: the most capable women leaders are often battling a silent crisis of confidence.
I've sat in boardrooms with brilliant women who second-guess every decision. I've watched talented executives shrink back instead of claiming their authority. I've seen leaders burn out trying to prove they belong—even though they've earned their seat at the table a hundred times over.
I created Identity Anchoring because traditional leadership development wasn't solving the real problem. You can't confidence-hack your way out of imposter syndrome with a few affirmations or a power pose. You need to rewire the beliefs at a neurological level—and that's exactly what this methodology does.

I hold a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia, a Master of Business Leadership, and specialist qualifications in emotional intelligence, NLP, and MBTI. I've won multiple awards for leadership excellence, organizational impact, and innovation—including the 2024 Local Government Award and the 2007 Telstra Businesswoman of the Year.
Today, I work with senior women leaders across education, health, community services, government, and business—helping them step into their power, own their authority, and lead with confidence and clarity.
