About Me

I’m Ellen, the creator of Brave to Be and a coach who helps people reconnect with their values, build confidence, and live more authentically—especially during life transitions or seasons of self-reflection.

I come from a background in counseling (LMHCA) but in this space, I’m not acting as a therapist. My work is rooted in non-clinical, values-based coaching—offering a space for clarity, bold self-leadership, and creative exploration.

I hold a master’s in counseling and an undergraduate degree in art therapy, and my style blends elements of narrative therapy, expressive reflection, and present-moment awareness. My earlier work supporting individuals impacted by cancer taught me how powerful it is to witness people reclaim what matters to them—especially when it’s been buried under stress, expectations, or self-doubt.

Before entering the mental health field, I was a massage therapist, where I first noticed how deeply people yearn to feel aligned in their bodies, their choices, and their lives. That insight continues to shape how I hold space—with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
