About Me

My Journey to Coaching...
I grew up in New York, fortunate to reside in an area with highly regarded public schools .However, despite this advantage, I faced challenges. I was often labeled a “daydreamer” or a “social butterfly,” which contributed to my struggles in understanding what I was reading or being taught. Today, we recognize that I had ADHD, which made auditory learning particularly challenging and was not aligned with my preferred learning style. To be honest, I found it quite boring!
It wasn't until I reached middle and high school that younger teachers inspired me . I quickly realized that I was not the problem; I could learn and excel when I was interested and engaged and some actually coached me! I graduated from Molloy College in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Special Education, followed by a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and Literacy in 2009. I also became a reading specialist. Over the years, I continued my education and became a certified Autism and Behavior Specialist as well as an educational therapist. My goal is to be a coach that guides and helps families navigate and advocate for their child and family unit and to offer coaching and guidance as well as direct life skills to people with special needs so they can live their best life and be a part of the community they live. Through research based approaches that I know work not only as a professional but as an individual who is a Mom of children with special needs I offer parent coaching and training to best support children with diverse needs.
