About Me

Eva M. Fernandez, is licensed master social worker, success coach and owner of Compassionate Consulting. She provides coaching and consulting services to individuals, groups and organizations in areas in areas related to professional, nonprofit, college and career development. In 2013, she created Networking for Your Cause, as an opportunity for local nonprofit organizations to share needs and events, as well as for-profits to give back to the community. In 2018, she created the podcast, “Career Hacks: Tips, Tricks and Triumphs,” to provide a resource for people to succeed in their careers, by learning from others, as well as embracing their challenges.

She is a licensed social worker and holds a Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UTSA and coursework in Nonprofit Management from Our Lady of the Lake University. In addition, holds a certification for Nonprofit Management for Veteran Serving Organizations from the San Antonio Area Foundation and St. Mary's University.

No stranger to the nonprofit or higher education community, she has spent over 20 years working with families in poverty, at-risk children, adolescents in crisis, non-custodial parents, and first-generation college students, among others. She has dedicated her life to helping those in need and advocating for others. As a result, she has evolved as a social worker, fundraiser, volunteer, leader, academic and career development adviser, presenter and consultant.

In addition, Ms. Fernandez sits on the Board of Directors for the Inspiration Center, as well as volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, Dress for Success, Habitat for Humanity, Hispanic Women’s Network and The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas. She has two teenagers who participate in the Inspiration Centers, Dollars for Scholars program and are beginning a path of advocacy for others.
