About Me

I believe one of the greatest losses in life happens when capable people begin accepting smaller futures than the ones they are capable of building.

I know what it feels like to face circumstances that could have determined the rest of my story. As a teenager, I fled civil war as a refugee with little more than a backpack. I experienced loss, displacement, uncertainty, and later hearing loss. Yet at defining moments in my life, I learned not to confuse my circumstances—or other people's expectations—with what was still possible.

That lesson shaped my career and the way I coach.

I began my professional journey in journalism as a teenager, eventually becoming an Africa Editor and interviewing and covering leaders across business, government, sports, and humanitarian work. After coming to the United States and continuing my education, I built a career spanning technology, communications, and leadership. I have led teams and major initiatives, served in senior technology roles, spoken to professional and university audiences, and served as a Commissioner on the Georgia Commission for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Today, I bring those experiences to my work with college graduates and aspiring leaders who know they are capable of more but may need clarity about what comes next, confidence to move beyond limitations, or guidance as they grow into leadership.

My approach is grounded in three ideas: hope, possibility, and service. We look honestly at where you are, identify what may be limiting you, clarify where you want to go, and turn that clarity into intentional action and growth.

I won't give you a formula for becoming someone else. My goal is to help you recognize more clearly who you are capable of becoming—and develop the courage, perspective, and leadership capacity to move toward it.
