About Me

I have been passionate about technology ever since I was a kid and studied engineering for that reason. I realized only later that it was far more difficult to be a good manager than to be a good technician; it takes guts to leave your comfort zone and explore the unknown territory of business and leadership.

I began my career as an electronics engineer in 1981 and shifted to IT in the late 1980s. I worked as business analyst, as project manager and as CIO. For a while I left the IT scene to be the CFO of the organization I worked for, but after two and a half years I came back to my first love: managing IT and technical people.

As an experienced IT manager, recruiter and coach, I am able to approach technically trained people at their level. Through harnessing aspects of psychology, counselling and consulting, I get inside their mind and give them the new ways of thinking they need as leaders.

I am based near Brussels, the centre of Europe. But I travel all over the world to help IT people realize their full potential. Coaching and mentoring are at their most effective when conducted face-to-face. However, I can also provide my services remotely, via email or Skype in English, French or Dutch.
