About Me
A former senior HR executive in financial services, who has created a Second Act career personally, Joe Casey enjoys helping people discover and build meaningful next chapters. He's trained in the proven tools that can unlock and clarify the path forward.
Joe's been named as one of 23 Innovative Career Coaches by Business Insider and holds four coaching certifications that inform his work

Prior to becoming an executive coach, Joe spent 26 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently SVP, Head of HR for Global Markets and Investment Banking. At Merrill, Joe held various leadership roles including Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer for Global HR and Head of HR for the ML & Co. Corporate groups.
Joe earned an MA in Gerontology from the University of Southern California; an MS in OD from the University of Pennsylvania; an MA in Executive Coaching from Middlesex University in London; a BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his coaching certification from Columbia University.
He is certified in assessment tools including the NBI, the Hogan, the Birkman, EQ-I, and the Team Performance Model. Joe is a member of the Institute of Coaching and the International Coaching Federation.
Joe has run 13 marathons including Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Boston.
Joe has been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, US News & World Report, Kiplinger, The Atlantic, and CNBC.com on second careers and retirement, and is the host of The Retirement Wisdom podcast, named as one of 24 Inspiring Podcasts to Help You Thrive in 2020 by Thrive Global.
