About Me

Hi there! I'm Laura Thoresen, and I've been coaching for over 15 years. My journey started in education, where I wore many hats, from school psychologist to principal, director of student services, and director of special services. Along the way, I found my passion for coaching.

What sets my coaching style apart is the cozy, safe space I create for my clients. People often say I have a knack for making them feel at ease. I believe in fostering an environment where everyone can speak openly, without any fear of judgment.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Always hungry for knowledge, I went on to earn another Master's in Educational Supervision and Administration from Caldwell College. I hold NJ State Certificates as a School Psychologist and Principal.

To deepen my coaching expertise, I completed the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance program at Rutgers University and received my Associate Certified Coach accreditation from the International Coaching Federation.

In addition to my coaching practice, I'm also a mentor for the New Jersey Principal Supervisor Association Leader to Leader Program. This journey has given me a wealth of experience and insights into coaching individuals with diverse backgrounds and goals, from college students to seasoned professionals.
