About Me

Marie (she/her) is a practicing psychotherapist in the state of HI, and a member of the American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association, and co-host of Living Water Wellness Retreats. Marie holds a Bachelors in Human Communication, and attended Grand Canyon University for a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Marie works in a private practice office in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Providing therapy, empathic support, and guidance Marie specializes in guiding individuals to discover new and effective tools that can change their lives. Her theoretical perspective focuses on person-centered counseling, an approach to counseling that is goal-oriented, and allows for empowerment, growth, and empathy. On a healing journey of her own, she understands the importance of bringing women together to support and encourage one another. Trained and educationally grounded in therapeutic techniques, Marie has utilized CBT, EMDR, DBT, and common psychotherapy approaches to help find causes of dysfunction or distress.

Marie also holds a certificate in Trauma-Informed Yoga, and encourages mindful movement to release stress and trauma stored in the body, while also practicing and discovering the art of self-compassion.
