About Me

At the age of 40 I made a significant career shift from Finance & Accounting to Technology. Within 7 years I was the head of IT for a global software company. On paper I had no business leading anything related to IT but I felt my skillsets would be a good fit. Turns out they were and the 16 years in the Tech world have been the most rewarding professional years of my life, culminating in my 'dream' job. I didn't realize I had a 'dream' job until I reached it. Looking back I realized I'd spent 30 years of defining and refining what that meant. It's been an eye-opening and unexpected journey and I'm interested in helping others get there faster.

When I started my career after graduating with an accounting degree I expected to work my way into middle management, do my time, and retire. Along the way I've been thrust into senior leadership positions that pushed me past my comfort zone and left me with Impostor Syndrome continually but I've learned a lot in the process.

At 57, with 35+ years of real world experience I've been working with upcoming professionals to help them find ways to reach an equilibrium within themselves that allows them to find an environment that supports and nurtures personal and professional growth. It's taken me years of experience, reflection and hindsight to be able to look forward with intention and action. With the insight I've obtained over the years I was able to be very intentional regarding my career path and the results have been highly rewarding.

My approach is pragmatic, experiential, and logic driven with an emphasis placed on Emotional Intelligence. I'll work with you to ensure you're asking the right questions about where you are in your current career path and where you want to be. Most importantly I will challenge you to be honest with yourself as to what it is that drives you, want you really want, and what you are willing to do to make that happen.
