Here’s the deal: life is short and if you’re not reveling in it, you’re pissing it away.
Here’s the rest of the deal: It’s totally your choice whether your life is a drag or fires you up.
If you live in grayness; if tomorrow is looking pretty much like yesterday—stop it. Plant your flag and declare that from this day forward, your life is going to be lived—not survived.
Your options are unlimited: There are mountains to climb, seas to cross, kids to comfort, elders to tuck in, stories to tell, books to write, businesses to start, statues to sculpt, great thoughts to think, trees to hug, hearts to touch.
What stops you? You know the answer intimately: Fear, resignation, petulance, wanting someone to do it for you, your golden handcuffs. Whatever your reasons, they serve one purpose—to keep you on the sidelines out of the action.
If that’s where you want to be, on the sidelines out of life’s big game, you’ve plenty of company. It’s where most people are. My guess, however, is that you want to be part of the action, or better yet, driving the action.
What would it be like if your life were splashed with color? If you were launched on a career or project that lit you up? If your love for family and friends pumped through you? If the beauty in your day lifted you high, struck, and rang you like a bell?
I work with high-powered people who want exciting, hand-crafted, and deeply-lived lives.
Coaching is a gentle conversation that demolishes the barriers that stop us and builds in us the capacity to do what we hadn’t thought possible. We work towards goals, distinguish what’s holding you back, develop new behaviors, and puts the rubber to the road. At the end of it, you will step out of your normal and into a new world that you have designed.
Work with me to find your purpose, your passion, and your path. We will break up that part of you that keeps you safe, comfortable, secure—and on the sidelines, living small and bored silly.

Russell Heath embodies what it is to be a coach. He champions your individual power and guides you gently until it is in focus. Working with Russell was enlightening, expansive and a true joy. I am forever changed by our work together. The words: "thank you" do not seem big enough for the gratitude I have in my heart to Russell Heath and all he has taught me.-Kelly Meerbott, Principal/Leadership Coach for YOU: Loud & Clear, Inc.
Russell is a gentle force that keeps the conversation headed in the direction you want it to go. Think of him like a magnet that pulls the treasure out of the sand.Hillary R., Producer, Los Angeles CA
Russell has used his great talent for getting at what stopped me or limited my performance in my career. He was indispensable in a time of heavy stress and uncertainty and coached me through it when I had no one else to turn to. I highly recommend him.John Messerschmidt, Entrepreneur, New York, NY
"Coaching has given me the strength and courage to move beyond thinking to action on the issues most important to me. Coaching has dramatically increased my confidence and enabled me to make many positive changes in my life at home, work, and in all my relationships."TC, Juneau, Alaska
The big win from my coaching sessions with Russell was a healthy and necessary change of perspective. Tough, passionate, legitimate feedback with no surprises that was always accompanied by a sense of compassion. It is this latter quality that underpinned all of our work together and provided a sense of direction for me as I moved into a more effective (Russell would say powerful) position in all aspects of my life.Ira R. Corporate Executive, New York, NY
Russell is an amazing coach! I felt extremely comfortable working with him and opening up to him about myself right from the first session. Throughout the time we spent working together I gained numerous new insights about myself and my own 'mechanisms'. I saw my own world differently and as a result was able to affect it and change my situation for the better. The best part about these realizations is that they came from within myself...with the gentle guidance of a professional...so I felt ownership over them and more empowered by them. I would highly recommend working with Russell if you are in the market for leadership training and really want results!Joan Picker, Customer Marketing Manager at Godiva Chocolatier, NJ
It has been a great opportunity and gift to take this journey with Russell at my side. He was kind, supportive and nonjudgmental in his approach which allowed me to communicate freely. I learned in coaching that assertions and judgments cannot be made by what we think is reality, but what we learn about ourselves and the world through experiences. This knowledge would not have been possible without Russell’s fluid intellect and ability to adapt to my needs. He understood that the best way to accomplish goals and effect change was for me to incorporate a holistic approach (mind and body) to my life. I had to learn to take responsibility for my emotional and physical health in order to sustain long-term success in life. The educational tools Russell used in coaching enabled me to clearly measure progress and identify areas for growth and/or improvement. There were times, when I felt frustrated and immobilized, but Russell displayed patience, understanding and validation. He was able to identify ambiguity and provide a summation of my thoughts in a logical and concise manner. Moreover, Russell’s empathic ability and strong active listening skills dispelled any doubt I had in pursuing a career as an entrepreneur.Jason M., Entrepreneur, Morris Plains, NJ
For me, it was important to work with a coach who was smart as well as supportive, and Russell is very sharp. He coached me on my career, and while I saw big improvements there, I also saw our work helping me in other areas of my life. Essentially, Russell gave me the tools to redefine my personal narrative. When I think there's something I can't do or am powerless to change, I go back to the work I did with Russell, and it helps me discover how I can, in fact, be in action.Julia L, Stand-up Comedian, New York, NY
In one coaching session, Russell dug into the core of what was holding me back and led me through some painful beliefs I had about myself. He’s tenacious; he was there for the result I said I wanted even though I wasn't being completely cooperative. He didn't give up on me. He’s tough with a toughness based in compassion.
When we came out on the other side, I created a new direction of where I want to go.Anna T., Teacher, New York NY
The most valuable thing I got from working with Russell was seeing my hidden, deep fear of fully owning my own power. Not just seeing this, but recognizing how I had limited enormous capabilities throughout my entire life- in work, relationships and my own self image. Russell has an extraordinary ability to listen and get deeply to the root of the matter for his clients- where real, lasting changes can occur.Kristen M., ZenMoves Founder, Hoboken NJ
Russell is one of the most attentive and focused listeners I've ever met, and one who does not inject his own opinion into the conversation train, but instead skillfully elicits from you what you are really trying to say. He naturally and genuinely enjoys digging deeper to find together with you the deeper underlying belief structures that drive or hamper your life, and respectfully encourages through listening and questioning that you take responsibility for your own path. Such engagements are not merely puzzles he enjoys figuring out -- he comes from a place of true empathy and compassion, ever striving to work together to bring out the best in you, and to make the world a better place as a result. Russell is a rare soul that I cannot more highly recommend as a guide and counselor if you are eager to break old thinking habits and create for yourself a world of near infinite possibilities.Kenyon Fields, Environmental Activist, Durango CO
Working with Russell was a totally transformative experience. In our first session, he told me that coaching was in large part about reflecting back to me what he was hearing, in a way that I could see myself anew. That's exactly his genius: the ability to get someone out of the weeds and gain a new perspective. I learned so much about myself: patterns of behavior, mechanisms that held me back, and tools to overcome those mechanisms. I arrived completely stuck in a job and paralyzed about relationships; 11 months later, I had landed a promotion, embarked on a solo creative project, and delved back into dating with confidence. Russell's patience, empathy, and perseverance even with the most stubborn of clients (that would be me) make him an outstanding coach.Bene Cipolla, Author and Editor, New York, NY.
