About Me
Stefania Codarcea is a mindset and performance coach who built an eighteen-year career in the international cruise industry, most of it in shipboard leadership roles. She led international teams in high-pressure, 24/7 operational environments and held responsibility for both performance outcomes and human development.
As an early Millennial female leader with strong Xennial-adjacent experience—shaped by traditional hierarchical systems and later by rapidly evolving work realities—she developed particular competence in navigating team dynamics, leadership expectations, and the practical tensions between values, performance, generations, and wellbeing at work. Throughout her leadership career, she consistently demonstrated that her most effective and enduring results emerged through her work with people rather than systems alone.
In 2023, she chose to direct her work exclusively toward this field and founded her coaching practice, stepbystef, grounded in a human-first approach to performance, growth, and happiness. Her practice integrates lived leadership experience with biological and psychological insight.
She works internationally with professionals and leaders addressing the demands of modern work and busy lives, delivering coaching aligned with ICF and EMCC standards while continuing to expand her professional toolkit through ongoing development, most recently beginning formal training in Transactional Analysis.

I had a few sessions with Stefania. She is a calm presence and a very good listener. She extracted relevant information, and rephrased it so that I heard my own words reflected back at me from a slightly different, less judgmental perspective. This helped me to get a better understanding of some of my blind spots. And in the instances where I was really stuck, she gave advice which I hadn't thought of and which opened up new perspectives. I contacted her for professional reasons, but during the sessions, a very difficult situation that I am facing, the loss of a child, came up. I see that a lot of people in my environment are struggling to know what to say around that. Which I understand, but it sometimes adds to the pain. Not so with Stefania, she's there, able to hold that particularly vulnerable space, gave me the time that I needed. I'm very grateful for that...
