My name is Tom and I am currently a Director of Product Management at Google. I've been in leadership positions since 1999 at startups, small public companies, Microsoft, YouTube, Google Ads, and now Google Health. I've co-founded two companies (both acquired) and one became a case study in pivots and change taught at Harvard Business School. I've worked in Boston, Singapore, Seattle, Zurich, and San Francisco.
I studied History and Economics at Bowdoin College and earned my MBA from Harvard University where I won a 2003 Student Association Award for helping scale Harvard's Career Teams program. I've continued to advance my training over the years with over 100 hours of leadership training at Google as well as week long in-person executive education programs at Stanford, Harvard, IMD, and Second City and have recently been an invited speaker on career planning at Cornell and Bowdoin.
I've personally benefited from executive coaching at various points in my career and realize how valuable it can be to have a safe space to figure things out, think things through, and explore your inner truth.
My style is to spend most of the time helping you learn more about you in a non-judgemental, constructive, empathetic, and high-integrity way. I've received formal coaching training as part of my current employer's official coaching program and am booked several months in advance with internal clients.
Often my clients are trying to unpack a complex career challenge and they're just in a new role and want a coach to help them maximize their individual success or they're in a role for a while but feel stuck or frustrated or they may be in the job market and feeling a bit unmoored. Ultimately, my goal is to help you achieve more clarity, unlock insights about yourself, and apply those learnings to your operating model going forward. My goal is for clients to overcome obstacles with power, positivity, and a clear mind so you can truly reach your full potential.

I've had my first session with Tom. It was very helpful for me. Tom was a great listener, he totally understood my case, what my problem is, what I want to achieve, and asked me challenging questions. As a result, I got a clearer picture of my future career path. Plus, he gave me useful advice on how I can do better. So, I would really recommend Tom as a coach.Tim Dynikov
I strongly recommend Tom without any hesitation. Tom has helped me think through many significant career career decisions in a judgement free, inquisitive and principled manner. He has the ability to break down issues to their core to understand what motivates you, want makes you fearful, and what you have the potential to accomplish. He has a very frank, no-nonsense communication style. After every discussion with Tom, I felt like the questions I was trying to answer were much clearer and simpler, and I was able to charge forward on my path with less second guessing and fewer regrets.Richard Sim
