PHILOSOPHY: "NOTHING LESS THAN EVERYTHING..."
I have over 20 years experience as a Sport & Performance Psychologist and Coach working with elite athletes, performing artists, business people, entrepreneurs and others to maximize their potential. In many cases my work is about helping people move from GOOD to GREAT.
Personally, I am dedicated to maintaining a work-life balance that encompasses family, outdoor sport and recreational pursuits, volunteer work and my consulting practice. I value and consistently invest time and energy into mindfulness, nutritional balance, ongoing professional development, and the fostering of close interpersonal relationships. These things, I believe, are fundamental to a healthy and fulfilling life.
I am passionate about working with people to achieve their maximum potential. To this end, I engage with people with a sense of curiosity and empathy to understand their concerns and then engage collectively with them to achieve their maximum potential.
I believe that the pursuit of excellence "costs nothing less than everything". (Little Gidding V -T.S. Elliot)
This is what I expect from you, this is what you will get from me!

15 April 2010 To Whom It May Concern: Re: Dr. Trevor Hale I have known Trevor Hale for approximately 10 years from the period when he was initially doing some training under another psychologist who worked with our group. At that time, it was clear to me that he was of outstanding character and would progress to being an excellent psychologist. Two years ago he joined Metro Spinal Clinic as the key psychologist providing assessments as part of our comprehensive pain management program here in Melbourne. … At all times he has provided excellent assessments and reports which demonstrate expertise and clarity around the relevant issues for each patient. He has been completely independent and autonomous with regard to his style and management options, but at the same time, has been a great team member. … In conclusion, I am happy and totally confident to recommend Dr. Trevor Hale to any potential client, medical group, colleagues, or employer as a person who will be outstanding in providing his services.Dr. Paul Verrills MBBS, FAFMM, MM (Pain Medicine), GDMM, FIPP Metro Spinal Clinic
Re Dr. Trevor Hale I am pleased to have the opportunity to provide this reference letter for Trevor Hale, who has provided services to both Hawthorn and Melbourne Football Clubs during my time of employment at each organization. Both clubs participate in the Australian Football League, the strongest and most professional sporting code in Australia. Trevor has assisted athletes and coaches in their quest for success within the high-performance environment…. Trevor was employed by the AFL Players Association to provide counselling and psychology services to players at Hawthorn Football Club and Richmond Football Club. This role was then extended [and] Trevor was contracted by Hawthorn Football Club to provide Sport Psychology services. In this role, Trevor worked with individual players on performance issues including anxiety and nervousness, injury and rehabilitation, goal setting and developing confidence and focus. Trevor also conduced workshops for groups of players and coaches on maximizing individual and team performances. Pleasingly, more than 80% of the players at Hawthorn Football Club utilized Trevor’s services during the course of that season, one in which the club stamped its arrival as a force in our code. I am aware that Trevor is intending to return to Canada. I sincerely wish him all the best … and I am sure that you will not regret giving him the opportunity to work in similar positions Kind Regards, Mark Evans General Manager Football Operations Hawthorn Football ClubMark Evans General Manager Football Operations Hawthorn Football Club
I started working with Trevor in July. I was struggling with returning to professional triathlon from a long-time injury. I was also looking to improve my performances. My coach and I thought working with a sports psychologist would help me elevate both my training and racing game. It has been a real treat working with Trevor - he has given me the ability to really simplify the way I approach my training sessions and racing. Through exercises, visualization techniques, and lots of practice - I am able to view our sport with a refreshed outlook and a new approach to my training and racing. Just last weekend I finished 3rd (1st American) at the 70.3 World Championships. I credit a big part of my performance to the techniques that Trevor taught me. I am looking forward to more successes and working with Trevor.Linsey Corbin Montana Made: www.linseycorbin.com
