About Me
Change isn't always fun, but some key words that describe my style are fun, friendly, and encouraging. I celebrate with you when you succeed; I'm going to be the mix of toughness and gentleness for accountability you want from your coach -- we'll work at that together.
Change is a process and does not happen overnight; so I expect a minimum commitment of six sessions.
I begin with an assessment tool that measures your "change fitness". This is not about physical fitness at all, it's about your ability and capacity to handle change. You may be in the middle of change, or considering change in the next three to twelve months. Either way, you want to be sure that you're ready and build your capacity to see it through, just like someone who wants to run a marathon wants to be sure they have the capacity to get through it before they begin. If you've already begun a significant change, it's not too late for change fitness to help!
Once my clients have done the assessment, we begin the program. There is a combination of video-based learning, journal exercises, and regular one-on-one coaching appointments.
When the program is complete, you will get to take the assessment again, and we'll have concrete markers showing your improvement. While results are dependent upon your own efforts, I'm confident that if you apply yourself and work hard with me, you'll see growth.
A bit about me: I have been happily married to Megan since 1998. She occasionally sits in with me for marriage/couple coaching (only by request). We have four children. I've been focused on coaching as my profession since 2007. I'm also writer with traditional and self-publishing experience, six books under my belt as of July, 2018, both novels and books on coaching and leadership. I am a "third-culture kid" and was raised in the USA and in Zaire (now the D.R. of Congo). I love to travel!
Building capacity for growth and change can be fun: I plan to make it fun. Contact me today!
