About Me
Hello! I’m Chelsey Hart—Entrepreneurship Educator, ICF Certified Coach, and Founder of Your Initiative Co.
I help skilled, values-driven entrepreneurs build sustainable, profitable businesses that actually work for their brain, their life, and their energy. Whether you're newly self-employed or several years in and feeling stuck, I support you in creating clear systems, aligned offers, and income that feels both ethical and doable.
I sold my first business for a profit in 2018 and have since coached hundreds of entrepreneurs across Canada. I also teach for my local small business centre, judge community grant panels, and support organizations delivering inclusive entrepreneurship programming. My coaching blends strategic know-how with deep respect for your lived experience—because business isn’t just business; it’s personal.
As a queer, neurodivergent parent of two girls (both neurodivergent as well), I understand the need for flexibility, honesty, and approaches that don’t rely on hustle culture or outdated formulas. My clients often arrive feeling overwhelmed or behind—but they leave with practical tools, renewed confidence, and a business plan that finally fits.

I don't even know where to begin - Chelsey has saved me countless hours of research and hard lessons by sharing resources and giving incredible recommendations from experience. I don't think I would have been able to say 'I have a successful business' for a full decade into the future if it wasn't for Chelsey. Despite this, I think my favourite thing about Chelsey is the way she helps me protect my mental health. I explained boundaries I had set for myself around work early on and she lightly reminds me whenever I step past them. She also reminds me to celebrate my wins - so many of us women put our head down and work and don't come up for air often enough to celebrate what we are doing. Entrepreneurship in general can feel lonely - like no one else understands the complexities of what you do- Chelsey makes you feel seen.
