1. Western people who are helping professions in the life coaching industry

The concept of life coaching started around 30 years ago. It is now $1001 million business in the U.K. According to the most recent figures from the International Coach Federation (ICF) London covers most of the market. The ICF now counts 1500 registered coach credential holders in the U.K.

2. Western credentials for whatever it’s worth

Anyone can call herself a coach or educator for coaches. A coach may be certified through an education program but the meaning of that term is varied as the organizations that provide it.

3. You have to separate the personal and the professional information but it is impossible

Coaching is generally split into the personal and executive. It is hard to keep the two apart. It is around 3% of the 150 coaches surveyed by Harvard Business Report, “What Can Coaches Do for You?

4. We can’t promise confidentiality on coaches

Trust is important in any coaching relationship. Coaches promise their clients confidentiality. The problem is that coaches can’t make this promise to court because the coach-client relationship is not protected under the law like the lawyer-client or doctor-patient relationship.

Coaching is not cheap. Coaches who work with the executives charge around $500 an hour while those who work with the personal clients charge on an average of $200 an hour according to the ICF.

Top executive coaches can earn upward of $5000 an hour according to the Harvard Business Review report.

10.Coaching impact can be hard

It is not a small question given for the time and money that coaching often involves. Companies that used to employ to calculate the return on their coaching investment.
