3 Barriers to Achieving your goals

Do you feel lost or as if you are not living your purpose? Do you feel stagnant and would like to move forward?

Personal happiness is achievable. The bigger question however is, what does personal happiness have to do with feeling stagnant or purposeless?

1. How we feel drives what we do as well as how we do it
Have you ever noticed that when you are sad or upset about something, you still function but not at the same level? Feelings are very powerful. If we learn to shift our emotions at the core, we can change what we can achieve.

2. Our beliefs have the power to limit our happiness
We all have beliefs, both conscious and subconscious. One almost universal belief is honour your parents. These beliefs affect how we live our life. We can honour our parents without compromising our lives, but for a lot of people this belief has created limitations. We do not do certain things, even though we REALLY want to because our parents would be disappointed in us. Does this sound familiar? That is what is called limiting beliefs and changing our negative connotation to these beliefs affect the decisions we will make in our lives for the better. We start making decisions for ourselves which leads to an inner joy and emotions affect output. Whose life are you living?

3. Live in the now
Time is a fluid concept, it is always moving. Most people do not realise that they do not live in the now. How much time in a day is spent talking about what went wrong yesterday or last month or even last year? Have you had a failed relationship? How much time did you spend, after that relationship failed, still talking about it? Time is fluid but it is also the one thing you can NEVER get back. If we spend less time talking and thinking about what has passed and instead focus on the lessons we have learnt from it, it becomes easier to move forward. For many people it is the future that occupies their minds. Planning the future is fine but when we spend the tie today wondering what will happen tomorrow, the now passes us by.

Emotions, beliefs & time could be your three barriers to achieving your goals. You cannot move forward if you are not living your true self in the now.
