Many of my clients are thinking of leaving jobs for consulting, entrepreneurship or other projects. Even a fulfilling job or career can eventually become dissatisfying. Professional development has plateaued, the work is precarious, it is hard to be effective because of the structure or culture… My coaching clients want more agency, control and autonomy over their time and energy. They have really amazing and creative ideas for business and personal ventures. But it is scary. Leaving a “real” job may mean leaving professional identity behind and being less secure financially…but it is worth it!
It is, though, challenging to do alone. That’s where coaching can help. We will work together to pinpoint what is not working for you now and what you really want for your future. It may surprise you. We will discover what it will mean for you to make those big changes and what may be holding you back. With coaching you will make a plan of action.
