6 WAYS YOU CAN BUILD YOUR SELFLOVE

Six exercises assist you to build your self-love

Like many people, you probably struggle with giving yourself sufficient time and attention. It’s almost too easy to give everyone else your love, time, and attention. If you truly want to live a long life filled with happiness and success, you must make self-love a priority. The following Six exercises assist you to build your self-love:

1. Spend Time Alone with Yourself Being alone may seem scary, but it is the best medicine. You need to give yourself just as much love, attention, care, and time you give others to truly live a healthy life. If you don’t give yourself alone time, how can you expect to give your body the time and attention it needs to be happy?

2. Give Your Body What It Needs While much easier said than done, always strive to pick foods that fuel your body rather than what you think you want. The more nutrients you give your body daily, the more balanced you will be. Not only will this help your body, but it also helps your hormones and emotions. A poor nutrition and exercise routine can be the cause of many bad moods or negative feelings towards yourself and others.

3. Read and Experience More As you develop and gain more knowledge and experience, you discover who you truly are. The more you understand yourself, the more your self-confidence and self-love will grow effortlessly. Fear, bitterness, and confusion often stem from ignorance. Simply not knowing enough information. Very rarely are people born with all the answers. They must find them, and the best way to do this through reading and jumping outside your zone of comfort more often, even if only during a fantasy.

4. Chant Self-Love Mantras Each morning, before work or other significant events, tell yourself out loud what you love the most about yourself.

5. Practice Forgiveness Slipups, mistakes, and errors – no matter how it feels in the moment – are not the end of the world. In the moment, it doesn’t feel very good but within these crucial moments are lessons. Through every failure and success, there are lessons you have yet to learn about yourself. Learn to forgive despite imperfections to continue to improve each and every day.

6. Reflect and Meditate Reflection is the key and a must to grow and be a better person. Without reflection, you won’t know where to grow or where you want to be next. Take a few minutes each day to meditate in the evening before going to bed; this is a great way to unwind and reflect on your actions and the events of the day. Be sure to be friendly and patient with yourself and never expect perfection. Self-love isn’t about being perfect. It is about loving yourself now, flaws and all, to get where you want and be whom you want in life.
