Be a Time Boss!

One of the main reasons we feel overwhelmed is that most of us aren’t taught time management skills. Don’t worry, it can still be learned!

Read below for my Tips for Being a Time Boss. With support and determination, you can develop effective time management skills. You can literally CREATE the time you need to make these positive changes.

Here are some great strategies that you can implement today to start creating more time in your life!

Tips for Being a Time Boss:

  1. - Prioritize Your Tasks
    Make sure your mental and physical well-being is a priority too. Self-Care isn’t selfish. If you don’t recharge yourself you will not have anything to give. You cannot fill all the cups (family, friends, work) if you don’t have a source to fill your own cup first (sleep, fuel, hydration, joy, gratitude, inspiration).
  1. - Schedule It!
    Schedule fun time, sleep, water breaks, exercise, downtime, and time with people or things that inspire you and give you joy. What you focus on – is what you get more of, so schedule what you want more of in your life. Treat your “me time” with as much value as you do all the other things in your life.

YOU should be important to you too!

  1. - Focus
    Choose one or two things to focus on when making changes or creating new habits. Life can be overwhelming as it is. You don’t need to add to the stress. What changes will make the biggest impact on your life? Focus on making those a part of your routine before you add more. Not sure what those are?   1. - Remove Distractions
    Figure out your biggest time suck and tame that beast! TV, phones, games, and social media give us so many distractions to choose from. There is always a bright, busy screen available to grab our attention and entertain us with mind-numbing lights and sounds. But what are you sacrificing to the electronic gods? Your dreams, your long-term happiness, real connections with people you love, your mental health, your physical health, that great business idea that could change your life? Ask yourself – is it worth it? Are these distractions worth my future?
  1. - Be a Time Boss!
    Ultimately YOU are in control of your life. You have the power to make changes in your daily routine. Your future is not set in stone, so if you don’t like where your life is headed… CHANGE IT! Only you can better your future. Focus on what you want more of. And yourself questions like: Are you happy with the current reality? Has complaining about it made it better? What if you focused on the best possible outcome instead of the worst thing that could happen? Don’t know what that looks like?
