Is your AUTHENTIC STORY driving your professional life?

How to stop stuttering when people ask you, "Hey, what do you do?" It's time to get your authentic story right into the middle of your message.
As I worked with performing artists over several decades, I learned something important about very gifted just like you:
You have a distinct choice to make:
#1. Choose to be known by your talents. (What can you do? What skills do you have?)
OR
#2. Choose to be known by who you are. (What is your story? Who do you love to serve, and who loves you back?)
I could spend all day talking with you about the dramatically different outcomes of these two thought paths, but let’s jump to a discussion-starter question:
When someone asks you about your work, do you begin by telling what you do, or do you begin with stories about who you are?
Action Items For You!
1. Take out a journal page and write down a story of success from your youth. When did you achieve this success? When were you noticed for excellence? When did a coach or mentor point at you and say, “Well done!”?
2. After you write this story, take a moment to consider what lingers in you even today from that experience. What did this build in you that you are thankful for?
3. Choose to share this story with three key clients or colleagues this week. Put it on the calendar and make it happen.
