As a a trained Life Coach, I have included Academic Success Coaching as part of my specialized coaching repertoire. This, in my opinion, is an apt question. After all, why would you waste your time and resources with a coach who either is not a trained coach or does not have any practical knowledge of how academia works. In my case, thankfully, I have both: twenty years of experience as a college instructor and professor, and formal training as a life coach. This means that while my work with you will be highly informed by my experience of having mentored hundreds of students to success, my methods, however, will be deeply governed by the best practices of the coaching profession. So, in a nutshell, you get the best of both worlds (Teaching and coaching) when you come to me for academic success coaching.
