A fun challenge to help you take small but powerful steps to stand up for yourself and shine in your unique way!
Welcome! Here is a fun challenge to help you, over the next 10 days, take small but powerful steps to stand up for yourself, shine in your own unique way, and bring more confidence, joy, and purpose into your life.
Each day includes:
1. Why it matters
2. Step-by-step actions
3. Reflection prompts
4. A fun self-care reminder
Day 1: Setting Intentions & Priming
Why it matters: You can’t get where you want to go without knowing where that is. Setting intentions gives you focus and direction.
How to do it:
- Find a comfortable, clutter-free space.
- Take 3 deep breaths.
- Do the Wonder Woman Power Pose (hands on hips, feet hip-width apart, shoulders back) for 30 seconds.
- Answer:
- Where do you want to Stand UP? (e.g., stop letting family take you for granted) Where do you want to Stand OUT? (e.g., be noticed at work instead of feeling invisible)
-
Priming: Do two fabulous things for yourself today. Examples: dance to your favorite song, take a nature walk, have a power nap, call a positive friend, or get a massage. Continue with at least one fabulous thing daily throughout the challenge.
Day 2: No Complaining & Reframing
Why it matters: Complaining drags your energy down. Positivity attracts opportunities and people.
How to do it:
- Commit to a complaint-free day (out loud and in your head).
- When a complaint comes up, pause, take a breath, and reframe it.
- Example: “This commute is so slow” → “I’m grateful for time to listen to my favorite podcast.”
Reflection: How did it feel to reframe instead of complain? Notice the shift in your mood and interactions.
Day 3: Speak Your Truth
Why it matters: Standing up means speaking up—authentically, respectfully, and with love.
How to do it:
- Identify one situation where you’ve stayed silent.
- Over the next two days, speak your truth in a calm, respectful way.
- Remember: Others may react emotionally—stay kind.
Reward: Treat yourself to two fabulous things for having the courage to speak up.
Day 4: Get Your Sass On
Why it matters: Confidence is magnetic. Sass (in the best sense) is self-assurance in action.
How to do it:
- Write down 3 fabulous traits you have (e.g., sense of humor, determination, gorgeous hair).
- Remind yourself of these traits at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Optional: Do the Wonder Woman Pose as you think about them.
- Wear something that makes you feel amazing. Flirt lightly, smile, and have fun.
Reflection: Notice how people respond to your confident, sassy energy.
Day 5: Finish a Nagging Project
Why it matters: Unfinished tasks drain mental energy.
How to do it:
- Pick one small nagging project (e.g., clearing your desk drawer).
- Set a timer for 15 minutes, play upbeat music, and get it done.
- Schedule time to complete the rest if needed.
Reflection: Feel the relief of clearing that mental clutter.
Day 6: Gratitude & Acts of Kindness
Why it matters: Gratitude and kindness lift your mood and make you more magnetic.
How to do it:
- Write or say 3 things you’re grateful for (and why).
- Do 3 acts of kindness today (e.g., buy coffee for someone, send an appreciative text).
Reflection: How did these acts affect your energy and interactions?
Day 7: Take a Risk
Why it matters: Growth lives outside your comfort zone.
How to do it:
- Identify one thing you’ve been putting off because it scares you.
- Do it today—or schedule the first step.
- Example: Apply for that program, speak up in a meeting, publish that article.
Reflection: How does it feel to move forward despite fear?
Day 8: Self-Appreciation
Why it matters: Recognizing past wins builds confidence for future ones.
How to do it:
- Write down 3 things you did that scared you but helped you grow.
- Celebrate each accomplishment for 3 minutes.
- Choose one future action to Stand UP or Stand OUT and take the first step.
Day 9: Smile & Thank You
Why it matters: Genuine acknowledgment makes people (and you) feel good.
How to do it:
- Give 3 genuine compliments today (in person, text, or email).
- Smile at everyone you pass.
- When someone compliments you—simply say “Thank you.”
Day 10: Your Keys to Standing UP & Standing OUT
Key to Standing UP: Speak your truth with authenticity, respect, and love—every day.
Key to Standing OUT: Be confident in who you are and let your unique gifts shine.
Your Final Challenge: Keep going. Take at least one action daily (even a baby step) toward standing up and standing out in your life.
Remember: Moving forward just 1% a day leads to extraordinary change in months and years. Someone out there needs your gifts—don’t keep them hidden!
