Feeling Resentful VS Feeling Grateful.

Being a mom can be a challenging journey.
Being a Single Mom By Choice can be a challenging journey, but it’s important to maintain a grateful attitude for the help and support that you do have (no matter how little), rather than focusing on what you don’t have and feeling resentful.
Gratitude and a positive outlook can go a long way in helping you navigate the ups and downs of single motherhood. When you focus on the help and support you have received, whether from friends, family, the community or even a paid babysitter, it can help you appreciate the good things in your life and maintain a sense of contentment.
On the other hand, complaining about the difficulties of single motherhood and focusing on what you don’t have can lead to feelings of victimhood and helplessness. This negative mindset can make it very difficult to find joy, and to overcome challenges.
Remember as a Single Mom By Choice, it’s important to maintain a grateful attitude for the help and support that you do have, rather than focusing on what you don’t have. By doing so, you can build resilience, maintain a positive outlook, and find happiness even in difficult times.
If I find myself struggling to feel grateful I start with the small things around me. Such as being grateful for my home, the food I eat, or even the sunshine. Try a daily gratitude practice every morning and pick 5 things you are grateful. This is a great exercise to do with your kids as well!
